Accessibility Statement
Last reviewed: July 8, 2026
This statement applies to dianachutherapy.com. Therapy should be reachable by anyone who needs it, and a website that blocks someone from booking a first conversation is a real barrier, not a technical footnote. This page explains what we aim for, what we have done, where we know we fall short, and how to tell us when something does not work.
Conformance target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We test with automated tools and by operating the site with a keyboard alone. Accessibility is not a task we finished once. The site changes, and we re-check it when it does.
What this site does
- Every page can be operated with a keyboard, without a mouse.
- Every page begins with a "Skip to main content" link.
- Focus indicators are visible on links, buttons, and controls.
- Text and background colors are tested against a 4.5:1 contrast minimum, and large text against 3:1.
- Images carry text alternatives that describe what is in the image.
- Headings follow a logical order, so screen reader users can navigate by structure.
- Motion and scroll animation are turned off automatically for visitors whose system requests reduced motion.
- Pages are built with semantic HTML and standard landmarks rather than generic containers.
What this site does not do
We do not use an accessibility overlay, plugin, or toolbar. These tools claim to fix accessibility automatically. They do not, they interfere with the screen readers and browser settings people already rely on, and we consider them worse than doing nothing.
Known limitations
The consultation scheduler on the contact page is provided by a third-party service, TidyCal. Its calendar is not built or controlled by this practice, and we cannot guarantee it meets the standard above.
If the scheduler does not work for you, for any reason, you do not have to use it. Email dianachutherapy@gmail.com or call (415) 890-3040 and you will be offered the same free 20-minute consultation, at the same times, on the same terms. Please do not include health information in an email or voicemail.
Tell us about a barrier
If you find a page you cannot use, we want to hear about it, and we would rather hear it directly than not at all.
- Email: dianachutherapy@gmail.com
- Phone: (415) 890-3040
Please tell us the page address and what happened. We aim to acknowledge every report within five business days and will tell you what we intend to do about it. If we cannot fix something quickly, we will offer another way to get you what you needed from that page.
Assessment
This site is evaluated by the practice using automated testing (axe-core, against WCAG 2.1 A and AA) together with manual keyboard testing. It has not been evaluated by an independent third party.
